Laundry Care for Linen /linen cotton Products

Bedding should be washed regularly to keep it looking and feeling fresh. Here are some tips for washing linen bedding to keep it looking its best.

How do I take care of my linens?

●Washing your linen

Linen bedding should be washed in cold water on a gentle cycle and can be tumble dried on low. Always follow the care instructions on the product labels. Avoid using too much detergent and fabric softener as this can leave residue on the fabric and cause it to become stiff. Avoid using hot water as this can cause shrinkage.

●Drying your linen

Linen bedding can be dried in a dryer on the low heat setting, or on a clothesline outside or inside. It is best to dry linen in the sun or shade, but not in direct sunlight, to avoid fading. It is also important to avoid over-drying, as this can cause wrinkles. To reduce wrinkles, take the linen out of the dryer before it is completely dry, and hang or fold it while it is still damp.

●Ironing your linen

Linen is loved for its relaxed, creased texture, so there’s no ironing or steaming required. However if you prefer to iron ensure your iron is on a low heat setting and the linen is still slightly damp.

●Storing your linen

Keep your linen in a dry cupboard all neatly folded away from direct sunlight.

What detergent should I use?

It is best to use a mild, hypoallergenic laundry detergent that is specifically designed for washing linens. Look for a detergent with natural ingredients, such as plant-based cleansers, and avoid detergents with harsh chemicals and fragrances.

How can I remove stains from linen bedding?

1. Start by using a stain remover spray or pre-wash treatment and allow it to soak into the fabric for 10-15 minutes.

2. After soaking, use a clean cloth and warm water to gently rub the stain out.

3. If the stain is still present, mix a solution of equal parts white vinegar and warm water and soak the bedding for 10 minutes.

4. Rinse the bedding in cold water and then launder as usual.

5.If the stain is still present, use a stain remover specifically designed for linen fabrics and follow instructions on the package.

Laundry Care for Silk Products

Mulberry silk is a delicate fabric and needs to be looked after carefully for long-term use. Due to the quality of the silk we use, our mulberry silk pillowcases are machine-washable on a cool delicates wash. However, for best results we recommend hand-washing silk pillowcases when you can.

Hand-washing

1.Soak the silk fabric in warm water. The soaking time should not be too long, just 3-5 minutes;

2.It is not suitable to wet the silk with detergent (acid detergent is not suitable), take a small amount of warm water detergent into the water, and stir evenly;

3.To dry, spread the item out on a towel and roll up gently to absorb excess moisture. Do not wring or twist the fabric.

4.Dry flat or hang, avoiding direct sunlight.

5.If you have a steamer, this is a great way to iron out any creases in the silk pillowcase. Alternatively, iron while still damp using a low temperature silk setting. We recommend ironing through a damp cotton cloth or using a steam setting.

Machine Wash

1. Check the fabric care label to see if it can be machine washed.

2.Wash different colors separately.

3. Use a protective mesh bag.

4. Use neutral or special detergent

8. Hang items or lay flat to dry.

9.Keep out of touch of pets/sharp objects
